On March 28, 2022, 200 magnificent and generous ladies gathered to enjoy a day full of great conversation and competitive bidding for some amazing designer handbags, shoes and accessories. This girly gathering was hosted by Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club in Palm City and presented by Kathleen B. Walgreen. Event attendees participated in some fun onsite games and were blessed to hear the angelic voice of the young Jordan Jones! The room silenced when the winners of the New Louis Vuitton Graceful Handbag & Credit Card holder and Gift Card Raffle tree valued at over $2,000 were pulled and announced.
For the first time ever, the silent auction aired live online, allowing offsite participation! Of course there were some special surprises reserved for the event attendees. The event’s MC, super star WPTV Channel 5 news anchor Ashleigh Walters, welcomed guests as they enjoyed a delicious lunch, signature cocktail, raffle drawings and live auction, led by local auctioneer celebrity Mr. Reed Hartman. “We are blown away at the generosity of the attendees and are thrilled to announce that this year’s event grossed over $90,000, a true compliment to the history and following of the event. Proceeds from this event will fund the Museum’s Educational Community Outreach Programs and Marti Huizenga Scholarship Fund” says Tammy Calabria, executive director. This program allows local teachers to enhance their current curriculum using a hands-on approach to learning, FREE! Yes, the traveling Mobile Museum visits classrooms throughout the Treasure Coast, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee and Palm Beach Counties. The Marti Huizenga Scholarship program allows access to camp enrollment to low income and at-risk youth.
To date, over 18,000 students have benefited from the generosity of past Purse Party Attendees!
