Jensen Beach – 2023 Purse Party- Laughing to Raise Money for Educational Programs!

On March 27, 2023, over 150 fabulous ladies gathered to enjoy a day full of great conversation and competitive bidding for some amazing designer handbags, shoes and accessories. This girly gathering was hosted by Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club in Palm City and presented by Marsha & Michael Cetta. Event attendees participated in some fun onsite games and we announced the winners of the New Louis Vuitton Graceful Handbag & Credit Card holder and Gift Card Raffle tree, valued at over $4,000!

This year’s theme brought a bit of humor to the annual event. Comedian Casey Peruski entertained guests with many laughs and children wrote jokes for the table setting. The event’s MC, super star news journalist, T.A. Walker with WPTV Channel 5 News, welcomed guests as they enjoyed a delicious lunch, signature cocktail, raffle drawings and live auction, led by local auctioneer celebrity Mr. Reed Hartman. Then guests witnessed a heartfelt speech from Museum volunteer, Sam McIntosh. Sam explained how volunteering at The Children’s Museum has helped him overcome challenges he faces with Autism.

We are super excited to announce that this year’s event grossed over $72,000, a true compliment to the history and following of the event. Proceeds from this event will fund the Museum’s Educational Community Outreach Programs and Scholarship Fund and new STEM educational programming for middle school children. This program allows local teachers to enhance their current curriculum using a hands-on approach to learning, FREE! The traveling Mobile Museum visits classrooms throughout the Treasure Coast, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee and Palm Beach Counties. The Marti Huizenga Scholarship program allows access to camp enrollment to low income and at-risk youth.

To date, over 19,000 students have benefited from the generosity of past Purse Party Attendees!
